Scarf heaven

A recent Amazon order arrived today and it was great timing for an afternoon at home. I had ordered some coloured scarves, which I left out in the playroom while Harry and Peter were both asleep after lunch. It is not an exaggeration to say that Peter shrieked with joy! Harry set them up in a patchwork design on the floor first of all "like Elmer" and they both added animals.

They have been used to dress soft toys

To cover faces

To perform magic (Harry hiding them in his trousers then pulling them out with a flourish!)

To wrap a "pass the parcel"

And to practice our French colour names, as a similar thing was used at Lingotot last week. Harry remembered Rouge, Orange and Blanc without prompt. We are having a French themed week overall, as we are rowing the Five in a Row book, Mirette on the High Wire, and Stuart is away in Paris so we are having a French morning on Saturday when he returns.
