Rocks, art and maths app

Harry has been working through the Dragonbox algebra 5+ app this week and is really enjoying it. I know a few other people use it too and recommend it and I also would. It is a great problem solving and logical thinking app as well as cunningly teaching the basics of algebra.

He has written some more of his Sea Quest book review too.

We went to a friend's house yesterday to have a look at some different types of rock, including some real cooled lava from their trip to Mount Etna! I think I was more impressed than the children actually! There were examples of each of the different types of rock; Metamorphic, Sedimentary and Igneous.

We also did some French practise together, including introductions and playing the French version of Shopping List. These were the friends we did our French class with last year.

We also played in the play area with our friends for an hour and did the same after art class today. This is Harry's second completed picture from the class. He is now working on a castle in pastels.
