Pizza Express school visit

We joined our friends from French class this morning for a school workshop at Pizza Express. As home educators we are able to book most of the workshops and learning sessions offered by a wide range of public and private bodies and we really enjoy doing them with friends. Tyne and Wear Museums and Gibside (National Trust) do lots of good ones.

We went in early before lunch preparations began and had a lovely table with balloons. The staff were great with the children and really made an effort to help them enjoy it. They showed them round the fridges, freezers and kitchen before getting started.

The children were shown how to shape their dough and they loved the huge quantity of flour on the table! They spread sauce and cheese to make a personal pizza.

Peter even got his own space and really enjoyed it!

We headed up to a grassy area in front of Durham Cathedral to eat the pizzas in the sun.

The children received certificates, herb seeds and stickers too at the end of the visit.
