Conker collecting

Sunday is our family day and we often spend it outdoors, exploring woodland, National Trust properties and parks. As well as Harry's music class and swimming lesson, we try to get anything else done that needs to be done on a Saturday, to keep Sundays free.

Today was a perfect Autumn day with a bright sun so we all rode bikes to Jesmond Dene, a large, local area of woodland with paths. We chose a great day for collecting conkers. There were many on the ground already and several fell from the trees while we wandered underneath! Harry and Peter especially liked chasing those ones. Peter just about squeezes into the bike seat still so we took that, as I think it would have been too far for him there and back on his own bike.
